As the whole wide world scrambled desperately to cope with COVID-19  (Coronavirus), with WHO (World Health Organization) officially announced COVID-19 Outbreak as a pandemic which has caused great distress not in my country but around the world. Up to date, the virus has mainly spread to over 135 countries.

To mitigate the spreading of the number 1 virus, the government of some countries forcedly locked down (our countries implemented movement control order  where  citizens are to isolated themselves by staying at home for at least more than 2 weeks or up to a month depending on the outcome.) – which I personally think will be extended and hopefully the spreading will end asap!

As far as I knew that many of us are now entering the second week of restriction on our movement, and it is becoming worst if citizens are not to stay at home nor to get themselves isolated for a while. – Which is selfish of you. #honestlyspeaking. Please listen to the restriction order, I beg you. Is not just for your own good but for us, around the world.

To make things better for ourselves since the isolation period, I believed we should take in fully our irregular activities (indoors) that was once blocked from a wall of other errands. Some of you can’t even apply full natural makeup or completed your skincare routine or even can’t cook yourself a lunch box just because you’re out of time and 5 minutes late. This is normal for everybody and I’d bet you must have tried to think of other ways to fit in the time to do all that stuff. Let say, if you can’t prepare rice for lunch box, you’ll just cook the main course first 1 night before so that you can reheat the next morning and pack for lunch. Well, maybe dine out is one of the good way to keep away from hunger but due to the isolation, we should pay more attention to home-cook instead.

Apart from the things that we once complained to not able to perform it even we are occupied with other stuff. We should take this opportunity without grumble and just dive in with the things you can do, together with your love ones of cause. This is a good thing for everyone right? There’s a bright side while helping the front-liners and the victims to recuperated. Besides donation for the numerous poverties and hospitals to ensure all are under control, we as a citizen, should follow the order implemented to avoid the spreading of the number 1 silent killer.

However, while we facing lots of unfortunate news, there are good minor things happen during the scene. The traffics between Johor-Singapore boarders and other states are clear, no daily traffic jams, no accidents  and disobedient/lunatic/ reckless drivers. Petrol price rate reduced and less car were use. The air surrounded the city no longer polluted and is surprisingly clean unlike every day and night where you can see the dirty poisonous smoke came out from the huge filthy chimneys while driving on the high way to your destination. I supposed you may notice how dirty is your room with full of dust and the next thing is you got to start cleaning and vacuum out the dust-bunnies away. Since you have been busy looking for rizq(sustenance), meeting clients/suppliers/contractors/consultants, you may have no time or to skip your meal due to the long-hours meetings. But now, you have time without disturbance and without excuses do cook your own meal. (I definitely enjoyed this part, because I’d get to spend more time with mom in the kitchen learning more home-cook recipes, Alhamdulillah.) The cook book you were once bought and was left in your kitchen rack, the pages will re-open for recipes to made. I’m not sure about the current economy status, but at least the supermarkets/petrol station/some banks are still open for personal needs. All of us once studied Integrated Living Skills in form 1-3, so I’m sure you all know what “keperluan” and “kehendak” means. Dear gentlemen, boyfriends, husbands, you may take this opportunity to go grocery shopping alone in the market. I’m sure you’ll discover so many things that you were once there with your momma during your childhood era. We, ladies, girlfriends and young mummies should respect and thankful that our man are out there food hunting during the restriction period. (which is incredibly dangerous thing to do during the restriction period).

I am unsure about the crime rates in my country, but please be careful and be alert about the current news of COVID-19. Do not simply trust strangers and keep your doors lock every time. It’s better to have a fierce guardian(woof woof….) who can help to keep an eye in your neighbourhood. But still, please be careful and stay updated.  Big and small families are blessed to have quality time spend with their babies/kids who are still in learning process/kinder-garden. Mummies who just gave birth and start working after their maternity period will probably spend a few second sobbing/missing their kids. Some may have video-call to check on their kids, but now…You can have full time with your kids. But here’s the thing about parents and kids. Remember when our 90’s, when kids were canned for not doing good in their studies? And in the 20’s, the current generations z are pampered by their parents so much and blamed the teacher. But, since you are free at home, you’ll get to observe your kid’s personalities (or more like their   hidden true colours). Well, it can be SUPER CRAZY…But, I wish you mummies good luck and be strong if your kid is the problem. Train them well, tell them in a good way (not screaming or yelling…isshhh…), do not 100% blame them and advise them. Do not too pamper them but teach them to be grateful. Cane them in a proper way if you need, but never too harsh that can cause injury. (Canning is a good way to discipline your child and I still believe that.) Saying “I love you” to your kid, is a good way to warm their heart. At least they can end their day with a good night sleep right? Husband and Wife time, well… You know what to do lah. (tak yah nak cakap kan….netlflix date pon ok ma…Drinking water has also become a new good habit where some people tend to forget to stay hydrated. As we are blessed to have clean water, we can avoid being dehydrated at all times. Drinking water 8 glass per day – buy a stainless steel bottle that can fill up water atleast 1litre without refill many times in the same cup you use to drink. We can retain cleanliness of our self – our body, washing hands and even maintain the toilet etiquette. (after poop, please flush lah…) You’ll need more soap and shampoo for this one since you get to pamper yourself in the shower. Some people even forgot to take a bath before bed because he/she was too exhausted from work. I heard the forest in Australia is recovering, is it true? If is, then I am relieved.

In these days, I have been thinking about the people who suffers a lot than our situation. Every steps and journey, an up-side down storyline, it never give us the failure until the end, but it gave us a collectable experiences, when we learnt that it is ok to fail and it will be ok once we back on track. This is why experiences was held and there's an english saying - difficult road leads to beautiful destination. .  – Behind every misfortune, there’s a wisdom.

The other things that make us (citizen) furious….

Updates via Social Media & Caught in a LIE
One thing about this is, you should take precaution and get yourself ready before the rain pours. And that’s why you need umbrellas, because they protect you from the poisonous white evaporation milky floating grey bubbles above the sky. Before the MCO was implement by the government, we see many of us residents/citizens are in a fear of the current virus outbreak. Because it all start from the most popular made-in of country, all of us are getting our self for preparation. To know if the news are genuine, we should verify the website link, date published and the writer. I believed in the world of PR, people tends to lie to get the story featured in front cover. But why lie during this outbreak? What is your intention of doing this? Attention seeker? You’ll get yourself trouble in the court one day. Why must make people panic? Even the disobedient human beings here, still stubbornly go out from the house and avoid the current news and just make things worse. Not to blame others, but in a rational way, I believe that it is the best idea to follow the orders because if you follow 1 simple rule, you’ll save more than 1 person’s life from getting infected. One more thing…When all of us caught in a lie (eh, Jimin-siiiieee, your song ehh…). I read from the news which is up-to-date that most infected victims lied when they are infected but eventually admitted NOT.  Gosh…Please stop lying as you won’t even get away with this. Do you know Italy’s current situation now (Be strong Italians!).Please don't make this happen. You are indeed selfish if you do that just to think that you’ll be safe, but not! Don’t be afraid to get test. Not sure? Go to the hospital for assistance and look for help.
JUST DO IT – (like Nike says.)

Let’s hope and pray for a better mother earth shall we?

Ok lah…I dah cakap banyak…menyampah lah on-hiatus ni.

Fyi, I’m doing this because the government has extended the MCO to 14th April 2020.

You are not alone, we should fight this together.

ABOUT COVID-19:

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus.
The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell.

Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.

People may be sick with the virus for 1 to 14 days before developing symptoms. The most common symptoms of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are fever, tiredness, and dry cough. Most people (about 80%) recover from the disease without needing special treatment.
More rarely, the disease can be serious and even fatal. Older people, and people with other medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), may be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill.

People may experience:
cough
fever
tiredness
difficulty breathing (severe cases)
here’s currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

You can protect yourself and help prevent spreading the virus to others if you:
Do
Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub
Cover your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when you cough or sneeze
Avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are unwell
Stay home and self-isolate from others in the household if you feel unwell

Don't
Touch your eyes, nose, or mouth if your hands are not clean
Treatments
There is no specific medicine to prevent or treat coronavirus disease (COVID-19). People may need supportive care to help them breathe.
Self care
If you have mild symptoms, stay at home until you’ve recovered. You can relieve your symptoms if you:
rest and sleep
keep warm
drink plenty of liquids
use a room humidifier or take a hot shower to help ease a sore throat and cough

Last but not least,

PLEASE STAY SAFE AT YOUR HOME.

EAT WELL, SLEEP WELL, DO WELL.

WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER, FIGHT TOGETHER.
