New Hair, New Plan? - Mid Jan 2020

Should I dye my hair? – she hesitated, confused and still wondering.

Should I?

Hey Tasha! – Chiew Ee.
Yeah? – Me
Do you want to dye your hair? I’m going to dye mine next Saturday. What do you think? – Chiew Ee.

YES. - DEFINITELY MAN!

Honestly, maybe to you readers are common thing. But, to the blogger, me?

NOPE. Huge thing. Even you think is lame, but still. Considered something new.

Well, I have this really long plan of getting my hair done with my favorite color but my mental was not strong enough to just go with it. All I could think was I’ll have a dry hair in a long period if I dye my dark-thick stubborn hair. My hair was never the same after straighten with a roller. (I used hair roller to curls or strengthen my hair for important occasions.) I born with straight hair but the stubborn-dry-curl baby hairs appeared as I reached in my primary years and that is how I start to visit hair salon.

To be honest, I love my original hair color and it’s thickness, the quality of the hair is as silky as the tv advertisement. (I’m not joking.) Most of the hairstylist gave good compliments of my hair and up until now; it never stops. Basically, I could be their experiment to test dye or hair techniques with different hairstyle with few weird creative fashion craziness. I love my hair and I am blessed with what I have, but I did want to make something special and to try something different than the black color. Because, YOLO.

All my life, I never did this before and I always want it too but I was too afraid of the result after hair-dye. I am a loser, and I don’t mind people call me that way. One of the reasons is I was too afraid if the hair medicine, the coloring could badly damage my skin and might lead to allergies. I’ve watched YouTube that some hair-dye are not suitable to the client’s hair and by doing this.

For this time, I was brave enough to face this matter as I want to quit the whining session by myself. I loathe complaints and you can never get something if you complain regularly. Because, stress will be the first reason why mental illness has occurred over the world. Is not good to have stress in life, but is ok to have it every day but not all the time. At least stress should occur 3-5 days or even worst is 2 weeks. But every day? That’s illness my friend.

At some point, being spontaneous is sometimes a good thing. As you are open to many doors to give an answer before you can make a move. You might think that you’ll do it spontaneously without thinking the outcome, but who knows what will happen the moment you said OK. I do my hair for a reason as it was part of my journey to open my doors wider and also my personal development. Is not just about the capability but is about myself. That is one big thing in our life that we should wonder, no matter how harsh the situation is or how struggling/suffered we are.  “The limitless within me?” That was the thing involves around us and we will never stop to find ways to strengthen it. Yet, we are just human. Here I am, challenging myself not with others. I have no competitor, but is only me.

Building self-confidence is critical and I’d admit, it is not easy. Boosting your personal development and to be successful, in the end all you see is that your level of self-confidence is probably the critical factor in everything you accomplish. Your boss asks for the report in 3 days starting by today, do you think you can make it? Your rider fails to clock in for dispatch service at 10am  and by 10.30am you were told to dispatch that important documents out by 12pm sharp. Can you do it?

What I can say is that, we need to give it a “try”, no matter how it goes. Before you make a move, “BREATH” – “Pray for everything went smooth.” – A good thing to start before you take the wheel. You can say you’re 50% sure that you will accomplish that mission and 50% not. If you are too afraid of doing it, just surrender to your boss. Is ok to be a loser, but not all the time! Because success is largely a matter of average or probability. Hence, the more things you try the more likely you will achieve greatly.

You can boost your confidence level by setting goals, try more things, engaging in more indoor/outdoor activities, exploring more opportunities, read and listen to live shows/talks. Doing all these will increase your probability of success dramatically, but the only real limit step is “Your confidence level”. When you reach the point of believing in yourself, the barriers that exist in your external world won’t stop you. That is why you have doors to open and choices to make. Because, you dah “otai” bila you dah pro untuk buat something.

Three Great Ideas For Personal Development

I have learned three important ideas for building self-confidence.
First, accept complete responsibility for yourself and for everything that you are and ever will be.
Second, accept that you can change your situation only by going to work on yourself and learning the things you need to know to be better.
Third, setting goals with time lines for the things you want and then work every day to bring those goals into reality.
But, one thing about creating ways to boost your confidence level here. I suddenly thought of something and this is similar to everyone that indeed happen to us all. When we create something or find new ways to do, we will eventually go back to the old road. In short, “We sabotage our self”. I hate to say this, but this is absolutely true.

“ Our natural tendency is to work hard until we find a method or technique that works for us, whether in life, work, or relationships, and then, for some perverse reason, we promptly abandon the technique and go back to behaving in our old way, in a random and haphazard manner.
A mental exercise program for personal development, like setting goals and positive thinking, is very much like a physical exercise program. If you expect it to really work for you, you have to practice it persistently, every day, and keep at it indefinitely. When I began to apply these proven success principles to my life, and worked on them every day, I was able to bring about almost miraculous changes in every area of my life.”
In a nutshell, (Cheh wahh, macam time college plak ni…), we have to keep moving with our mental exercise program, practice it persistently every day. Throw away that fugly-procrastinate-habit and the laziness of you. If you don’t, you will never move at all.

FYI, sorry no photos of my new hair. Secret!
