Corn and Warts
CORNS. CORN. Without "S". It looks like a fruit name. Maze? But no. Apparently this stupid thingy stucked on my thumb for days and I do not know how, when and why. #wtf?! Maybe almost 1 year plus....OHH NO...
It was afternoon, around 4pm and still on duty. Was a bit rushing for the follow ups, but I can't hold on anymore because nature calls. So, I bounced out from my chair heading towards the washroom and take a leak. By the time I washed both of my hands, I notice something growing on top of my thumb.
My right thumb. It looks like the skin layer building up and turned into a hill soon. The colour tone shows a little messy grey somehow like it was mixed with pencil lead and dryness. I pressed my thumb slowly, surprisingly it was not painful at all. So, I assumed is probably just water underneath my skin. I just make a decision to use a nail-clipper or sharp scissor and maybe a needle to poke it out and release the water inside the skin.
As day by day goes by....
I totally forgotten about it and also I didn't really try hard to take it out as I thought it was normal for every human. So, I just let it be. Funny right? I just let it go with the flow. WOW. BRILLIANT SGT.
One evening on Saturday, my dad noticed my thumb. He approached and told me that ugly skin dot on top of your thumb is a corn.
I'mma like what the heck is that? - confused and start to scratch my hair
Is something that is very hard to kill off of your skin.
It takes time to turn back to normal. - while scrolling Shopee via online.
I still don't get it. - trying to get what dad's explanation really mean.
Actually, this thing you can go to any private hospital and refer to the skin specialist to cut it off for you.
THAT SERIOUS?! - freaked out and panic.
WHAT IS CORN?
Corn and Warts are confused by many people since they look slightly similar and also appeared in the same areas especially feet. (Mine is on my thumb. Sucks.) Apparently, even doctors are hardly to identify to make a correct diagnosis. Perhaps the confusion of the type and skin colour symptoms.
Corn can be found basically on the feet. It usually appear when a prominent bone (in the foot) presses against the side of your shoe. It feels like your skin hurts like hell when you try to fit in a tight shoe. With this hard pressure, leads the skin thickens making a hard surface on your skin. Then, the hard surface becomes the "core" of the corn, penetrates deep into your foot. The corn becomes "cone-shaped" pointing inwards which in turn presses into the foot that leads to pain. With the continuous pressing into the foot, this can become absolutely uncomfortable. It feels like you walking with a stone inside your shoe. (However, it actually is a corn living underneath your stinky foot.)
However, luckily Corns aren't contagious unlike warts are.
WHAT IS WART?
On the other hand, wart; is a tiny growth thingy living on a skin; especially on a person's hands or feet. It looks like a solid blister or a tiny cauliflower growth; rough texture and often are skin-coloured. It can be either brown, grey-black (Which looks like mine.SHIT.) and rough surface. It often can be seen as a tiny black dot in the middle of each scaly spot (due to clotted capillary blood vessels). Unfortunately, there are various types of viral warts. Common types are the one living on your fingers, toes and knees.
So, does this thingy looks like mine? I think so, because I not only have 1, but 3 (if counted on the third one, seems like half way to grow?) SHIT.
Currently the largest one is on my right thumb. LIKE FREAKING BESAR OK?! And it looks like going to spread to other parts of skin. (Using waterproof plaster as a defensive weapon.) My index finger one is like a tiny white dot (about to grow soon I guess) and still stable. The left side thumb is medium size already so I faster apply a solution to get rid off it asap.
I got myself Duofilm solution for treatment of corns and warts which was my dad's. He said is better to cotton up the solution and apply it at the part of the corned/warted skin and duct tape with a waterproof plaster.
HOW TO GET RID OF WARTS?
Apple Cider
Apple cider is a popular home-remedy to get rid of warts. Since it contains acidic, it generally kills the virus. Soak the cotton with the apple cider and wrap up with a plaster 2 times per day.
Garlic
Garlic is another way to kill the warts by just peel of a clove of garlic and gently rub the wart. The main goal is to coat the whole wart parts with natural garlic "juice". Ensure that the portion of garlic will remain in contact with the wart after you duct tape with bandage.
Surgery
This is the best choice to go for although is a bit financially sky-high. Laser surgery / Electrosurgery can be helpful for warts removal in a blink of time.

This afternoon, I manage to grab myself some plasters from Daiso Japan and looking for a helpful plaster that could really get rid of the ugly skin on my thumbs. I can't seem to find the corn removal plasters except for the foots. So, nah.
Mine is actually look like dark-grey. Yikes.
So, I am guessing that I might spend more on plasters and wart treatments until it goes off of my skin.
