Orphan Cat

Last week after CNY month, our stray cat; Momochan went into an
unfortunate accident. The little stray that I used to fed daily suffers a
backbone and right leg fracture. The fracture symptoms are severe hence
it may lead to paralysis. It is sad to know what was going on to this poor
little stray which used to be aggressive, fun and very playful.

As I mentioned from the previous post, we did not entirely rear it but
we fed it for living. Felines are living creatures so why don't we just
practice random kindness?

How it happen?
On 28th February, 2006. Our uncle came to visit our place for a wedding
invitation. During tea session, Momochan suddenly climbed in our door
gate being super friendly and gila pampered like a baby.
She was so playful and being obedient for just peacefully sitting on the
living room floor while looking at our tea session.

In the evening, suddenly we heard a loud voice.
My parents rushed to went out and take a look as they heard a loud
cat voice screaming like as if it was attack by somebody.
Mom saw a cat shivering under a black saga (neighbour car) unable to
move and keep on screaming.
Dad called me from the room while I rushed outside.
I look for Momochan because I was afraid she was the one who
scream for help. And Mom said, it's true.
It was Momochan.
Momochan hide under the car and unable to move forward.
Her face was scared, confused and trauma.
Mom used a broom stick to pushed her out from the car and
immediately grabbed her in.
We brought her in the bathroom to clean her up.
Mom found out her leg was limping and unable to kick or make a single
move. So, we assume she was stepped by some idiot fella. (YES, You.)
We suspect the neighbours may have accidentally stepped on Momochan.
(Or maybe purposely? Shit people just can't stand on their moral level.)
*I am serious. I believe it was stepped by an idiot human being.

Before we plan to brought her to vet, we study her movement and her
reaction after the accident. She was furious, angry, trauma as if
somebody had did this to her before. (Maklumlah kucing jalanan).
This affect her pessimistic mental thoughts and reduced appetite.
It was our first time to see a stray had a bad day.
When Momochan is sick, she was being dreamy for the whole day.

Next day, my parents brought her to vet clinic and was told Momo
require to admitted for 2 days.
The vet doctor then informed us, Momo had faced a fracture on the
backbone and right leg. So, this cause her fail to move.
We are afraid if she don't have the chance to walk and run in the future.
But the vet doctor told us to be patience and fed her some healthy
home-made food. (We refused to buy tin food for cats because it was
pricey.)

The first day taking care of Momo is like babysitting a 2 yrs old infant.
She was in a trauma state and had yet to be recover. We only fed her some
rice + mince chicken to improve her calcium level. Everyday she consume
7 medicines including for calcium. But before the cage thing happens,
Momochan went into a trauma state again for screaming angrily and
loudly in front of us. We were very terrified and concerned on her body
movement due to internal injuries.
There are no external injuries occur but only internal injuries ; bone fracture.

To make a sick cat patiently to recover, we spend most of our time
looking after Momo. Everyday after work, babysit Momo until she
sleep. Yes, just like a human baby. We always want her to feel comfortable
living in our space. (Previously, her space is freedom because we let her
explore the world freely and only come back when hungry.)
On the 4th day, we went to 3 pet shops for a cat cage. Dad plan to DIY one
for Momo but change his mind to purchase a medium size cage instead.
The cat cage cost approximately 150++ and because of Momo, we must
help her to recover asap.

Momochan used to mocked a lot for feeling uncomfortable in a market-basket
trolley as a cage. But now she is happen to feel comfortable again.
Btw, Momochan's personality is exactly as a human being.
Sleep like a human and her fast reaction to certain things.

Our goal right now is to help Momochan to recover from her bone fracture
injuries.
'If God's willing', she could walk and run again.
