MY AZ VACCINE JOURNEY PART 1

 

Hi again! Looks like we are still back to square one.😱😩😩😩😫😫😫 (The MCO 1.0 is back!) My country just announced the 2rd full lock down after this stupid😡 Road NOT to 10K trending in twitter. ( I added NOT to to "not to" happen. God when will this Covid-19 stop? 😕

Most of you who received a congratulations message with a new update of your vaccine page. Please click to confirm the date of appointment. Now is the situation where whatever vaccine is available, people will grab it before it's too late. Is better to get yourself jab than never, the risk of getting Covid-19 is lesser than having "blood-clotting". Which what people are afraid of, but risk is risk. You gotta be brave and accept that things happen.

Once you confirm the appointment based on the date, time & location given, please wait patiently. At 2-3 days before your appointment date, the vaccine centre will give you a call just to remind you for your appointment. This is the number 1800-888-828....Do not be afraid, the number is not a scam. How I know? I returned the call because the same number rang twice and I missed it. (Although it could be a scam..Yeah I know what you're thinking...😂😅)

What to do one day before the appointment:

• Find out via. Google Map for location and updates from twitter.
• Download Waze App to set the location.

Things to bring:

• I/C no. 
• ballpen
• handphone
• hand sanitizer
• Face Mask
• Mineral Water

• Sleep early (If your appointment begin at 9.30am)

My appointment was set on Sunday, so I have to prepare myself if I were to need apply for MC on the next day if I feel terrible after the vaccine. Emmm...

I woke up early, bathed and dressed up in casual with a dark sling bag. Decided on a sport shoes and glasses on. (I want to rest my eye from contact lens.) Eat light breakfast and drink plenty of plain water. Your body needs fluid to function, not just moderate amount of sugar. 

My appointment is 23rd May 2021, 10.30am at PWTC, KL.

1)  Leave at 9.15am.

2) Arrived at Sunway Putra Mall 10.05am, crossed the LRT PWTC bridge and reached PWTC at 10.10am.

3) Inform the officer about your appointment time and they'll let you enter.

**Remarks: Arrived 30 minutes early before your appointment.

4) Follow the station number.

5) Listen carefully to the officer and make sure you have your ic no. and ballpen with you.

6) You will be given 2 consent form and 2 ticket numbers.

7) First Table - Medical Inspection

Hand over your ic no. to the medical pesonnel and you will require to answer a few questions about your health. Please be honest AND DO NOT LIE about your current health condition such as illness or diseases, asthma, blood pressure, allergies etc. PLEASE ASK, if you have any question.

8) Second Table - Update Personal Details

Hand over your ic no. to the medical pesonnel again and to confirm your personal informations. Full name, home address, occupation and etc.

9) Third Table - Vaccine Room

You will be arrange to go for the vaccine room for the injection. From my experience, it was a quick 2-3 minutes process! The nurse will show the syringe measurement of the AZ vaccine before the injection. FYI, for AZ vaccine = 0.5ml per dose. If you're dominant on the right hand, then choose left hand for the injection. You may ask permission to take video  or photo during the injection. 

10) Fourth Table - Vaccine Card & Resting Area

You will be given a vaccine card that verifies you have done for the first dose of the vaccine. Clip it together with the second consent form for the next appointment. For AZ vaccine, your next appointment will be inform in the vaccine card. Mine is within 12 weeks from the day of the first dose. Once all done, you will asked to sit for 15 minutes after injection. There will be a few personnel monitor the resting area if you start to experience headache and etc. Think positive and do not stress yourself on a vaccine day!

Once 15 minutes is done, you may exit the room and go back! THAT'S IT!

What happened after 4-8 hours?

Headache

Sore at the left arm (My injection arm)

Fatigue

Thirsty

Hungry 😂 (We ordered Burger King immediately after injection.)

What happened after 10 hours above?

Headache 

Body Ache

Watery Eyes

Fever

No Appetite

Back Pain

Muscle Pain

😳 💬 💤

Oh well....These are the symptoms I experienced after the injection and yes I took MC on the next day and sleep the whole day. 😷💬 A little advice after the injection, avoid cold beverages, fried food, heavy duty routines. Your body need to rest and need to build the antibody. Vaccine in your body is like a group of soldiers and when they encounter the enemy (virus) they can immediately take action. Which is why again is IMPORTANT to get it.

And then, I was told to update the symptoms in mysejahtera app after the injection...and THAT'S IT.
